OVERVIEW

Waterbeach Barracks in Cambridgeshire is a regeneration development by Urban and Civic on behalf of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation. Civil work is underway to prepare the former 716-acre Ministry of Defence site to deliver 6,500 new homes, three new primary schools, one new secondary school, a health centre, new town and local centres, community facilities, and 59 acres of formal open spaces and sports pitches.

A network of footpaths and cycleways will also serve over 290,000 sq ft of employment floorspace.

SAY is supporting the developer by creating the estate service charge model, which includes a unique void model and cashflow forecaster, and will run the tender process for the estate managing agent. SAY has also recently been instructed on their neighbouring 1,425-acre development, Alconbury Weald.
