Are you ready for the digital switch-over?

A little-known industry standard is coming into play in 2025 which will have a significant impact on operational processes within all new and existing buildings with lifts.

All analogue systems – such as the current two-way communications allowing permanent contact with a rescue service should someone be stuck in a lift – will need to be replaced when telecommunications replace these analogue lines from 2025. In some cases, the process has already begun. The original lines rely on copper cables that were installed across the UK across the 1800s, hence the need for an upgrade.
