New Building Safety Regulator Safety Case Guides

The HSE (Building Safety Regulator ‘BSR’) have shared guidance on the safety case report. They are gearing up to release further guidance and they will be welcoming consultation on it and the resident engagement strategy over the summer.

Five short but helpful guides related to the new safety case regime for new and existing buildings are available:

  1. Building information
  2. Identifying building safety risks
  3. Risk prevention and protection
  4. Safety management systems
  5. Safety case report

The BSR have stated they wish to enforce a proportional approach to managing safety risks within buildings. Under the new regime, buildings will need to obtain their Building Assessment Certificate. The BSR are prioritising buildings within tranches, as can be seen below. With tranche 1 representing the first priority for the BSR to assess.
